From a Hotel Kitchen to Your Garden: Closing the Loop at Scenic Hotel Cotswold

Some of the plant food in your watering can started life in a Christchurch hotel kitchen.

Since May 2026, Scenic Hotel Cotswold has been sorting its kitchen scraps on site for Hungry Worms — the team behind Uncle Bob’s. They collect the scraps, their compost worms turn them into vermicast, and that vermicast is the base of our Premium All-Purpose Plant Food. Nothing goes to landfill.

Scenic Hotel Group has written up the partnership, including the hotel’s first-month results, in its own words: read Scenic Hotel Group’s story.

It’s the same closed loop behind every bottle and bag we sell: food waste from Canterbury businesses, turned back into something that helps your garden grow.
